This was created in PS CS4 using a Wacom. I used a photo as reference. My technique is to use the 'ruler' view and place 'guide lines' to help proportion the piece. It is indeed a drawing (except the BG. Photo composite) and the first in a a series. I am currently drawing one of my kid which I will be posting a time-lapsed video of the process! So you can see my work come to life! Hope that helps

Yup, I make all of them in photoshop, it has great brushes which make it feel alot like painting on a canvas
